Fond Farewell

25th April 2023

We hugely appreciate all of the help we receive from our diligent volunteers, and we want to say
a special thank you and farewell to those of you who are leaving us.

Laura B
Laura has been with us for 6 years, helping tirelessly in our warehouse every Saturday. She
even created a special Covid safe Saturday opportunity so that our Saturday teams could help
support us during the Covid lockdown.

Sue Fish
During the last 3 years, Sue knew she would need to stay at home to keep safe during the
Covid epidemic, and in the early weeks and months, she provided significant remote support to
the food bank. She helped 2/3 days a week with our referrals team, which is a detailed and vital
role, and her compassion and dedication during those difficult times was incredible. We will miss
her greatly.

Vic Boyce
Vic formed the other half of the referrals team, and when all theatres were closed in March 2020
she realised she had huge amounts of spare time on her hands. She was keen to help and
support the foodbank and took on the referrals side of things, which can be busy and
unpredictable, and because of the help she provided us, we were able to manage and deal with
all incoming requests with efficiency. Even when her work started up again she managed to
juggle acting roles to help us out. Vic is taking a well-earned rest to explore other parts of the
world and hopes to possibly do some acting down under. We wish her all the best.

Charlotte and Matt
These two became part of our team in early 2020 and turned their hands to a huge variety of
tasks – from sorting donations, restocking shelves, and even helping to make the garden around
the warehouse look tidy. We are so grateful for all the support they provided in our warehouse
and we wish them well as they move on.
