We are beyond excited to announce that Norwood and Brixton Foodbank has been awarded the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS).
This lifetime award is a sensational honour and a direct reflection of the incredible work carried out daily by the incredible volunteers and staff.
Following the recent investiture of project manager Elizabeth Maytom, we’re delighted that further honour has been bestowed on Norwood and Brixton. It comes at a time where the whole team has been working hard to provide emergency food and support to not only Lambeth but filling the gap in provision in Croydon as well. We could not be more proud.
On behalf of the staff team, we want to thank each and every person who has contributed to this achievement.
Thank you to our parcel packers, the warehouse team, the dispatch team, our drivers, our dietary callers and signposters, our collection session heroes, the referrals team, the data team, the social media team, the corporate engagement team, the schools engagement team, the churches engagement team, the uniform team, our trustees, and every single person who has supported our work.
We know that there’s still a long way to go before we end poverty in Lambeth, but now is a time to celebrate just how far we’ve come. Thank you all!
