How to get help

Support and advice

Our Foodbank has strong links with other groups and organisations who can offer advice and support.

Our particular thanks go to the Walcott Foundation for providing the funding for advice workers from Centre 70 or Brixton Advice team at Foodbank sessions. No appointment is required and sessions are open to those in the community, not just Foodbank clients.

Brixton Advice Centre

bac-logo

Brixton Advice Centre promotes access to justice by providing good quality legal advice and representation to people who would otherwise be unable to afford legal services. We specialise in advice on housing, homelessness, welfare benefits and debt.

We provide advice at outreach venues around Lambeth, including at Brixton Foodbank (Tuesdays and Saturdays, 10am to 1pm).

You don’t need an appointment and you don’t need to be visiting for a food parcel – you can just drop in for advice only

Advice is provided by our staff on a range of advice areas eg debts, housing issues and benefits

See our website for recent research supported by the foodbank

Lambeth Larder

Lambeth Larder is a fantastic new community food resource.

When you visit the website, there is a section on emergency food, you can download the emergency food food list, which shows when and where food is available in Lambeth, including food banks, community meals, etc. The site also has information about where to get help and advice in Lambeth. The Lambeth Larder Community Map shows the locations of various emergency food providers.
